Here’s an early look at what we know: 1. A scam post linking to a phishing website was shared at around 1.50am UTC 2. The scam post was flagged by our community 3. Our team in APAC was able to jump in and investigate 4. A total of 5 fake posts were shared linking to a scam website 5. The compromise was due to a malicious third-party app which had read/write access to our X/Twitter account only. This permission was immediately revoked. 6. We’ve investigated all our internal accounts and systems. There are NO other signs of breach or suspicious activity. The access and scope of the third-party app was limited. We’re doing a thorough investigation for due diligence. 💪We have determined which app was compromised and how it got to operate. We'll share more information on an upcoming post/thread. Stay tuned.
